Losing Weight in My 60s — installment #2

The first dietary change I made was changing from a very low fat, to a higher fat diet. I read “The Obesity Code” by Jason Fung and learned that higher levels of insulin made it much more difficult to lose weight. I also learned that fat intake did not affect insulin levels very much and that increased fat would help to decrease my hunger. I added nuts to my morning oatmeal, full fat salad dressings to my salads, regular mayonnaise, sour cream, butter, oil, and even dark chocolate (85% or higher) to my diet. By increasing my fat intake, I stopped snacking between meals due to hunger.
